My name is Jess Connors and I'm proud to share with you my Breathwork series and ever-evolving
Something About Breath community.
I was born in Ottawa, Canada, and spent my childhood growing up in Toronto, Canada.
After years of living in Vietnam teaching and travelling abroad, I settled in my now home - Aotearoa, New Zealand, where I have been for the last 9 years. I'm a very proud Citizen and I am grateful to call Aotearoa home.
My life journey has always been one of tenacity, experiential learning, and self-development/ exploration.
I have always been very curious, empathetic, and interested in the 'why's' of (holistic) health and fascinated by our human behaviour, health and energetic capacity.
My life experiences and interests have led me to work and engage in the areas of philanthropy, human transformation, community impact programs, and personal development and leadership programs for the better part of 15 years.
I am deeply passionate about building meaningful engagement strategies through education, culture, and community outreach innovations.
After years in the corporate world & observing some questionable leadership behaviours and having found myself on the edge of burn-out & depression - I found Breathwork!
I now share this knowledge with others.
I bring my lived experience and expertise to my work with entrepreneurs and people who want to explore alternative wellness practices & self-leadership tools.
My mission is to encourage deeper communication, connection & consciousness.
Currently, I'm combining my experience in human resources management, learning and development, and human potential/human transformation and offering consults and programs related to Breathwork and Leadership Development.
I mainly work in the areas of transformation and change programs, contemporary education initiatives, coaching facilitation, and trauma-informed, healing responsive Breathwork facilitation.
I am ultimately interested in the kaupapa (purpose) of raising the consciousness of leaders (starting with ourselves), and I am deeply committed to creating inspiring conversations, connections, and experiences.
Through my lived experiences with CPTSD and anxiety, doing continual life-long inner work via various Breathwork techniques, meditation, and learning of different (healing) modalities, I have never been more certain of the value and positive impact that continued Breathwork practice and integration can have on thriving personal and collective consciousness.
